Camp Demigod starts third year

By Meg Olson

Camp Demigod heads into its third season this summer, offering one, two and three-week camps based on the “Percy Jackson and the Olympians” series of books and other favorite youth sci-fi and fantasy titles.

The overnight camp is held at the former bible camp at the end of Julius Drive and is open to campers 9–17 years old. Campers learn about everything from ancient cultures to game design, taught by faculty that includes academics and industry professionals.

Scholarships to the camp are available for local youth from Point Roberts, Blaine, Ladner and Delta

This year, the Digivations Camp Demigod Institute is also looking to raise funds from the community to support both camper scholarships and their efforts to buy the 7-acre camp to be a permanent home to the institute and its programs.
