SHERIFF'S REPORT
March
22: WCSO responded to the report of a person having mental
problems in the 1900 block of Waters Road. Deputies contacted
the person who said she was very depressed and wanted to talk
to a mental health professional. An individual offered to drive
her to a local Canadian hospital to speak with a professional.
The person voluntarily went to the hospital on her own.
March 18: Several juveniles were detained by U.S. Customs
after a small amount of marijuana was found in their vehicle.
The juveniles were released to their parents and the marijuana
was impounded for destruction.
March 14: An individual in the 1900 block of Saturna Place
reported having found a small amount of marijuana in his vehicle
and had suspect information. Deputies contacted a subject as part
of a follow up investigation and arrested him for possession of
under 40 grams of marijuana. The subject was released to his parent.
March 12: WCSO responded to the report of vandalism in
the 1400 block of Gulf Road. An individual said someone threw
rocks at windows on the back of a building causing $500 in damage
and breaking four storm windows. There is no suspect information.
An information report was taken.
March 9: A driver was contacted during a traffic stop at
APA and Tyee roads. The 18-year-old Point Roberts man was found
to be driving under the influence of alcohol. He was cited and
released to his mother.
March 4: An individual in the 1500 block of Panorama Drive
reported someone broke a large window in his trailer in the past
two days causing $500 worth of damage. There is no suspect information.
The individual requested a report for insurance purposes.
February 25: WCSO served an arrest warrant to a 37-year-old
Point Roberts man in the 400 block of Tyee Drive. He was arrested
on a felony warrant from Michigan for embezzlement. He was transported
to Whatcom County jail and booked.
February 22: An individual in the 400 block of Tyee Drive
reported having problems with a customer exposing himself. The
individual requested the customer be trespassed from the store.
Deputies contacted the customer who agreed to stay away from the
store.
February 4: WCSO responded to a suspicious circumstance
call in the 100 block of Kennedy Road. A subject said someone
opened up a piece of mail in his mailbox. He did not think he
was missing anything from the opened piece of mail and requested
an information report be taken.
