Everyone’s tired of socks and ties...

To those who say there are no businesses in Point Roberts, I say try to visit them all to see what they have that would look good under the tree!

There are fancy stamps at the post office and fancy stickers at Westwind Marine. You can keep your loved ones warm and buy them a propane heater at Nielson’s Building center. A new washer might not fit under the tree but Nielson Electric’s got them.

Dinner is always a nice gift, and the Point has restaurants to choose from. At Brewsters you can even buy a card for $60 which entitles the bearer to 12 two-for-one dinners.

Tucked in Point Roberts neighborhoods is a staggering selection of home businesses that provide a range of services. A prepaid month of yoga classes from Desiree Kleemann would be nice, or a haircut from Robin Nault, or a massage from one of our local therapists.

So put your thinking cap on, save gas, save time, save your blood pressure and give local businesses a boost!..
