SHERIFF'S REPORT
January
22: A father in the 1400 block of Peltier Drive reported his
daughter did not return home on the school bus and requested his
daughter be entered as a runaway. His daughter was entered into
the computer system as a runaway.
January 16: A store owner in the 1300 block of Gulf Road
requested deputies contact a customer and ask him not to return.
She has had problems with the customer. Deputies later contacted
the customer and advised him of the trespass.
January 14: WCSO responded to a theft in the 1500 block
of Gulf Road. A security tape caught a customer taking items valued
at $2.19 without paying. An individual stated the problem was
ongoing but did not wish to pursue theft charges but requested
deputies trespass the suspect.
January 11: Deputies responded to the 400 block of Tyee
Drive for a hit and run report. The victims vehicle was
hit by an unknown suspect. The vehicle was not occupied. There
are no suspects or leads.
January 8: WCSO responded to a report of vandalism in the
100 block of Tyee Drive. Someone had poured white paint over his
business sign as it sat on private property. He had no suspect
information and requested an information report be taken.
January 5: An individual in the 500 block of South Beach
Road reported her boyfriend had assaulted her in the past two
weeks. Deputies did not establish probable cause to make an arrest
for the incident.
December 30: An individual reported a possible hit and
run. She noticed severe damage to the passenger door of her vehicle
and was not sure when or where the damage occurred but thought
her vehicle had been struck by another vehicle. An information
report was taken.
December 29: WCSO responded to a report of a stolen van
taken during the night in the 1600 block of Johnson Road. The
van was later recovered and the owners son was arrested
for taking a motor vehicle without permission along with some
friends. An investigation is ongoing.
December 21: Deputies responded to an assault in the 1800
block of Province Road. Two juveniles were fighting when a third
juvenile kicked one of them in the eye. The juveniles eye
was swollen and required stitches. The juvenile who kicked the
other was arrested for second degree assault..
