Be on the lookout!

Local marine mammal champion Peter Hamilton of Lifeforce Society is asking that anyone who spots a dead or injured porpoise or whale call him at 604/669-4673 or email lifeforcesociety@hotmail.com.

In the last two weeks, three adult male Dall porpoises were found dead along the east cost of Vancouver Island and their tissue samples are being examined to determine why. Marine biologists and whale fanciers are keeping an eye out in case these deaths are part of a more widespread
problem.
