Republicans,
Democrats to hold caucus meetings
It’s caucus time and both Democrat and Republican local precincts
will hold caucus meetings March 5.
The caucuses are the first step leading to the state conventions
for the parties. Participants will choose delegates to send to Whatcom
County and 42nd legislative district caucuses.
The Republican caucus for Point Roberts will be at 317 Madrona Place
at 8 p.m. and the Democrat precinct caucus is at 7 p.m. at the community
center.
The caucuses are open to all, but voting will be restricted to registered
voters who will sign a declaration that they consider themselves
members of the party and who will not be participating in the caucus
or convention system of any other party this year..
