Fisher
recognized for saving life
Last fall
local resident and fire commissioner John Fisher was at Lighthouse
Park when a woman collapsed of an apparent heart attack. As his
wife Davea went to summon aid, Fisher applied CPR to the woman
until emergency medical aid arrived. His efforts were recognized
by Whatcom Count Executive Pete Kremen in an April 1 letter of
commendation.
The time has come for your friends and colleagues to recognize
the contributions you have made to Whatcom County and the Point
Roberts community.
Thank you for your selflessness and genuine willingness to serve.
Your heroic and lifesaving efforts on behalf of Anneliese Jones
last October will be remembered and shared with the generations
to come.
The highest reward of a persons toil is not what they get
for it, but what they become by it. By your actions, you evoke
the highest regard from those individuals with whom you have worked
and the members of the Point Roberts community whose lives you
have touched. Your dedicated service and the generous sharing
of your time and talents, far above and beyond the call of duty,
have truly made a significant difference in our community.
Best wishes always and thank you for your commitment to your community
and your obviously high regard for the sanctity of life.
