Date for economic meeting set

The Partnership for a Sustainable Economy wants to hear from local residents about the best ways to improve the local economy. A meeting will be held May 30 at the community center beginning at 6:30 p.m.

The Partnership is comprised of the Port of Bellingham, Whatcom County, each of the seven county cities and Public Utility District #1. The group has drafted specific economic development strategies and wants the community’s feedback on their work to date.

The meeting will last approximately two hours.
