Who? A new guru

A recent arrival in Point Roberts, Gary Schmidt has brought his computer business with him and hopes to expand locally.

“Right now most of my customers are still in Miami,” Schmidt said. “I do primarily two things – training and custom database design.” Schmidt is experienced in training users of a long list of programs, but the Microsoft database program Access is his specialty. “For the CompUSA store in Miami I was the Access guru,” he said.

Schmidt also uses his database skills to design and manage custom programs and databases. He is currently under contract with the University of British Columbia’s department of commerce Management Information System department.

While not a hardware specialist, Schmidt said he is willing to give whatever help he can to local computer users. “I dabble in hardware when I can be of help to someone,” he said. To reach Schmidt call 945-2721.
