access to the commuter lanes, but with a hitch. If the traffic
is backed up at Pacific Highway, which will provide mid-day
NEXUS access, program participants cant get to the lane. |

Wellness clinic proponents kick
off fundraising drive Proponents of a health clinic in
Point Roberts will be kicking off a fundraising drive at the
beginning of November to raise the money, muscle and mortar
needed to turn a slice of the bingo hall at the Benson Road
fire station into a health clinic. |

buses to roll through local streets The Whatcom Transportation
Authority (WTA) has shelved a grant application to finance
scheduled bus service to Point Roberts and has instead opted
to give the Point up to two community vans. |

chief Mike Campbell was arrested on October 8 on suspicion
he raped a young girl while he served as the Point Roberts

sewer system, intended to answer some of the questions left

2002 - On Tuesday, November 5, the nation will go to the
polls. Here in Point Roberts there exists particular concerns
that are handled at the local, state and national levels.

to look for their pioneer relatives or ambling down the
street for an amazing piece of pie and a good story, several
dozen people came to the October 19 Point Roberts reunion
to celebrate local history and those who made it.

long, farewell, auf wiedersehn, good night The Prescott
family are leaving Point Roberts for Riverside, California,
where Point Roberts water commissioner and attorney Tom
Prescott will take up a job with the municipal government.
Stand
up and be counted! -Point Roberts Chamber of Commerce
members will be looking for three new directors at their
annual general meeting on November 6.
