DAVIDSON, JAMES, of Vancouver, BC passed away peacefully at the UBC hospital, Vancouver, April 23, 2002 in his 83rd year. James was born in Vancouver, BC in December, 1919.

Jim served in the Canadian Army and was in the D-Day landing. While overseas, he met and married his wife, Vera, who was serving as a W.A.A.F. in the Royal Air force.

It was a year before Vera managed to get on a boat to join her husband with her one and a half year old son, John. By this time, Jim had resumed his studies at UBC and graduated in 1949 in Civil Engineering and was later was certified in Washington. He also was certified for B.C. land surveying.
The Davidsons have been long time visitors to Point Roberts with their five children. They started out renting each year, until 1967 when they bought property with a small building on it.

Jim was active in the creation of Maple Beach Park. He surveyed the park, with others helping. Jim made a nice sign that says “Maple Beach Park,” with a rainbow on it.

Many summer and winters have been enjoyed in Point Roberts since the 50s.

Jim is remembered by his loving family and many friends.
