The first month of the Point Roberts Aydon Wellness Clinic

“Coming together is a beginning, staying together is progress and working together is success,” said Pioneer Project president Brian Canfield, quoting Henry Ford at the June 6 opening of the Aydon Wellness Center.

An official collaboration between the Point Roberts fire department, the Pioneers and the Interfaith Community Health Center, the new health clinic had a list of supporters and partners almost too long to list, from local artist Kitty Doyle, who boosted fundraising with a water color rendition of the center when it was only a concept, to the bingo operation that gave up some of their space to make room for the clinic.

“All organizations are only so good as the people in them, not only those serving at present but those who came before,” he said. “I want to give heartfelt thanks to everyone.”
