Year In Review
Point
Roberts Library
By Kris
Lomedico
ItÕs better
than ever at your library! Circulation is up over last year, which
was up over the year before. Children attend seasonal craft and
puppet shows, enjoy pajama story time in the winter and reading
programs for kids and teens in the summer.
Look forward
to a slight re-arrangement of open hours, opening at 11 a.m. on
Wednesdays, closing at 5 p.m. Still open 4Ñ8 p.m. on Tuesdays
and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturdays. WeÕll let you know when!
The Friends
of the Point Roberts Library are the very best, and sponsor many
events from musical evenings and book sales to joke contests.
The desserts are to die for!
Public internet,
DVDs, videos, books on tape or CD, and bestsellers are just a
few great things at your library, plus a helpful staff: Kiera
Miller, Elise McCuaig, and Kris Lomedico. Kiera joined us this
summer, filling the position left by Terri Lieffering.
Catch the
cool lights in the kidÕs room: flamingos, palm trees, chili peppers,
and lady bugs! New shelvings added room for the increasing video
and book on tape collection, and magazine display.
Your tax
dollars help pay for your public library, so come use it!
