Townsite
tour a hit with participants
The Point
Roberts Historical Society once again offered the community a
townsite walking tour of the historical buildings in Point Roberts,
but this year with a special twist.
Judy Ross
had a magnificant display of fabric art pieces she created entitled
“Point Robert’s Abandoned Houses. Also on display at the community
center and other venues on Gulf Road were the works of Point Roberts
Quilters. Over at the Liberty Wine store Doreen Trudel demonstrated
spinning on an original spinning wheel made by Arnie Myrdal, who,
by 1960 at the age of 89 had made 36 wheels.
