INSIDE
Chamber AGM November 12

The way time flies, 2010 is just around the corner. Point Roberts businesses and residents can find out how Whatcom County is starting to prepare for the winter Olympics in 2010 at the chamber’s annual general meeting. The guest speaker will be Gordon Rogers, deputy director of Whatcom Council of Governments (COG), an interjurisdictional planning agency that works in cooperation with federal, state and local entities. Another item of interest Rogers will be able to share is the “international passenger only ferry study for north Puget Sound.” The meeting is set for Wednesday, November 12 at 7 p.m. at the Marina Club. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. with refreshments being served. Business items on the agenda will cover the election of officers. Four positions need to be filled. Nominations have already been made, but can still be taken from the floor. This meeting is open to the public and the community is encouraged to attend. For more information call the chamber at 945-2313 or visit their recently updated website at www.pointrobertschamber.com.
