AGM November 12
The way
time flies, 2010 is just around the corner. Point Roberts businesses
and residents can find out how Whatcom County is starting to prepare
for the winter Olympics in 2010 at the chamber’s annual general
meeting. The guest speaker will be Gordon Rogers, deputy director
of Whatcom Council of Governments (COG), an interjurisdictional
planning agency that works in cooperation with federal, state
and local entities. Another item of interest Rogers will be able
to share is the “international passenger only ferry study for
north Puget Sound.” The meeting is set for Wednesday, November
12 at 7 p.m. at the Marina Club. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. with
refreshments being served. Business items on the agenda will cover
the election of officers. Four positions need to be filled. Nominations
have already been made, but can still be taken from the floor.
This meeting is open to the public and the community is encouraged
