SHERIFF'S REPORT

October 29:
WCSO deputies responded to the 100 block of Bayview Drive to a report of a suspicious fire. Complainant reported an unknown person burned several pieces of scrap lumber at his construction site and that the fire was inside an open garage under construction. Complainant reported the fire was out prior to his arrival and was on a concrete floor. No damage was incurred, but complainant wanted the incident documented.

October 27:
WCSO responded to the 700 block of Claire Lane for an attempted suicide. A female was transported to St. Joseph ER for an evaluation.

October 27:
WCSO responded to the 700 block of Claire Lane for a child care issue. A juvenile was taken into protective custody after her mother returned home from an involuntary mental health evaluation the night before from a suicide attempt. CPS was contacted and the juvenile was placed in a safe environment.

October 26:
WCSO deputies responded to the 1400 block of Peltier Drive to a report of vandalism. Deputies contacted the suspect and arrested him for residential burglary theft 1st and malicious mischief 1st. Suspect was transported and booked into Whatcom County jail.

October 18:
WCSO deputies contacted suspect in the 1500 block of Panorama Drive for an unrelated incident. Deputies discovered that suspect had two misdemeanor warrants for failure to appear, DUI, bail $10,000 and failure to appear, bail, $100 from Whatcom County. Subject was booked into Whatcom County jail.

October 13:
WCSO was contacted by Delta police department for an assist agency request. Delta PD requested WCSO interview a witness of an assault that occurred in Canada. The witness was contacted and provided a written statement. A copy of the report was forwarded to Delta PD.

October 10:
WCSO responded to a loud party in the 600 block of Marine Drive. Deputies contacted the property owner and advised her to turn down the music, and that if deputies had to return, she would be arrested for disorderly house. She stated she understood and would comply.

October 6:
WCSO responded to the 100 block of Donegal Drive for a death investigation. An elderly man with terminal cancer passed away from apparent natural causes. The medical examiner was contacted and declined jurisdiction. The deceased was released to a funeral service.

October 6:
WCSO responded to the 100 block of Tyee Drive for a male in possession of drugs. U.S. Customs had a male detained with marijuana and drug paraphernalia. The male was cited and released.

October 6:
Complainant in the 1700 block of Province Road reported an unknown male called her home five times, claiming to be a telephone marketer for a Visa company. The homeowner told the male to stop calling after the first call. The male continued to call and used obscenities during the conversation. The female was given a case number.

October 2:
WCSO deputies were dispatched to a physical domestic assault in the 1600 block of Benson Road. Deputies determined an assault had occurred and placed suspect under arrest for assault 3rd and malicious mischief 3rd. Suspect was transported via U.S. Coast Guard and booked into Whatcom County jail.

September 26:
WCSO deputies responded to a collision at Churchill Drive and Delano Way. Deputies arrested suspect for driving on a suspended license.

August 28:
WCSO responded to the 1500 block of Columbia Crescent to a report of a verbal domestic. Deputies determined that no assault had occurred. Report for information only.
