Commissioners vote 2­1 for 45 percent levy lift
“We’re at a juncture. It’s time for the taxpayers to decide if they want to continue at this level of service. If you want the service, pay for it.
Water board votes down Point-wide sewer system
Through a combination of badgering and cajoling water commissioner Art Wilkowski squeezed a unanimous resolution out of the district board that precludes a single sewer system for all of Point Roberts any time soon.
Up the revolution (the gray kind)!
Point Roberts Parks and Recreation District commissioners got a taste of local gray power as their usually quiet monthly meeting was packed with senior center members asking them to raise taxes to expand their program.

Loss of turnout bus bemoaned by parents
The new superintendent of the Blaine school district, Dr. Mary Lynne Derrington, got a first-hand look Point Roberts parent activism when she and the school board were greeted August 25 by a group of parents from Point Roberts who were upset with the board’s June decision to cut the turnout bus.

Above her garage on South Beach Road Teresa Cosgrove has brought together a rich collection of toys and tools to help toddlers and preschoolers develop the skills they need to thrive when they start school.
