Christopher Demello has been named the new port director for the Point Roberts port-of-entry, replacing interim port director Linda Robinson.
“Linda Robinson was the interim port director and through a competitive application process this gentleman was selected as the permanent port director,” said Customs and Border Protection (CBP) media relations officer Vincent Bond.

Robinson had been named permanent port director under the Immigration and Naturalization Service (INS) in early 2003 but when the INS and Customs combined in March of that year under the department of homeland security the new CBP agency selected new heads for all ports of entry. Previous port directors were welcome to apply.
