SHERIFF'S REPORT
July 24:
WCSO responded to the 700 block of Simundson Drive
for an attempted boat theft. A juvenile male was arrested for
attempted Theft First. During the investigation the male and
another juvenile male were arrested for two other boat thefts
in Point Roberts. The juveniles were transported to juvenile
detention and booked by a deputy.
July 23:
WCSO contacted and arrested suspect at her residence in the
1400 block of Gulf Road for Assault 4th DVPA. She was transported
and booked into Whatcom County Jail via U.S. Coast Guard.

21:
WCSO took a report of a stolen boat in the 700 block of
Simundson Drive. The property owners did not have any suspect
information. Estimated loss: $12,500. The boat was later located
and recovered.
July 20:
WCSO responded to the 1400 block of Gulf Toad to a report of
a domestic. Deputies determined an assault had occurred, but
the suspect had fled prior to the deputies arrival.
July 18:
Deputies contacted a male on Alder Street and Bayview Drive.
He was found to be a minor in possession of alcohol by consumption.
He also had marijuana and drug paraphernalia. The male was
cited and turned over to the U.S. border patrol, as he had
crossed illegally into the U.S.
July 17:
WCSO responded to the 600 block of Kendor Drive for a burglary
report. Sometime between January 9 and July 17, unknown suspects
had entered the residence. No suspects or leads. Estimated
damage: $200.

17:
WCSO took a theft report from the 700 block of Marine
Drive. Complainant did not have any possible suspect information
and was provided the case number for insurance purpose. Estimated
loss: $2,600. Deputies recovered the stolen property at Lily
Point on July 21.
July 16:
WCSO received a report of an unknown subject illegally dumping
trash into the marina’s dumpster.
An employee of the marina contacted suspect. Suspect identified
himself verbally as a tenant of the marina and left. The employee
confirmed the subject was not a customer of the marina and
called WCSO, and stated he wanted the incident documented and
the subject trespassed if he returns.
July 16:
WCSO contacted suspect on Tyee Drive and discovered he had
a felony/juvenile warrant out of Oregon for a weapons offense.
He was detained and transported to U.S. Customs. Customs officer
served the probation violation warrant and turned suspect over
to deputies for transport. He was transported via U.S. Coast
Guard and booked into Whatcom County jail without incident.
July
15:
Deputies responded to the 2000 block of Benson Road to
the report of a mental problem. Deputies contacted suspect,
an employee of the business. Complainant requested that employee
leave because she was becoming a problem. Suspect left without
incident.
July
14:
WCSO investigated a possible forgery that occurred over the
internet. Deputies forwarded copies of the report to the RCMP,
FBI and California city police.
July 9:
U.S. Customs officers contacted a group of juveniles entering
the U.S. via Point Roberts port of entry with alcohol. Customs
turned the juveniles over the WCSO. All four juveniles were
arrested for MIP and released to parents and guardians.
June 22:
WCSO responded to the 1300 block of Peltier Drive for a vandalism
report. Two adult males were arguing and one male scratched
the other’s car. The male was cited and
released.
June 20:
WCSO responded to the 600 block of South Beach Road for a loud
party. The homeowner was contacted and informed about the noise
complaint and was told that if the noise continued, he could
be arrested for disorderly house. The homeowner stated that
he understood and ended the party.
