Sheriff's Report

In the Garden

INSIDE
Health matters

By Virginia Lester,RN,
MSN, ARNP

I will be on vacation having great summer fun until mid-September. The clinic will remain open with relief providers from Bellingham. Unfortunately, because of their schedules, the days and hours may vary slightly. I would encourage you to call for an appointment before coming to the clinic. I would not want you to make a trip here only to find that no provider is available to see you. The clinic staff will be in the clinic as usual (Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.) and can make your appointment for the appropriate day and also provide information as requested.

The telephone will be forwarded to an information number. If you have an emergency, as always call 911. However, if you have an urgent problem that is not an emergency you will be able to get advice on what your options are by calling the clinic number at 945-2580.

Prescriptions will continue to be available through Hoagland’s Pharmacy. This includes refills for your present medications. I would encourage you to call one week before you anticipate your medication will be running out. This will help to ensure that you will not be without your important medication.

The providers who will be assisting me, in order of appearance, are Martin Waterson, MD; Bonnie Sprague, ARNP; Scott Blaker, MD; and Muriel Hardschy, ARNP. They are all great people and I am sure you will find your visit with them very satisfying.

So, all of you have a great summer of fun and wellness and I will be back in the clinic in September.

Mark your calendars for September 25 at 10 a.m., at the community center for a health forum on mental health issues.
