SHERIFF'S REPORT
July 24:
WCSO deputies were dispatched to a loud party on the beach
by Bayview Drive. Deputies ended the party and sent the juveniles
there to their parents.
July 23:
WCSO deputies responded to the 1900 block of Province Road
for an assault complaint. Deputies contacted the complainant
and are currently investigating the crime.
July 12:
WCSO deputies responded to the 1400 block of Gulf Road for
a theft report. Several items were taken from a vehicle. Value
of stolen goods is estimated at $620.
July 4:
WCSO deputies contacted a group of juveniles in the 1400 block
of Gulf Road. Deputies determined that two juveniles were visibly
intoxicated and were arrested for minor in possession by consumption.
Deputies released the juveniles to their parents. Charges forwarded
to the juvenile prosecutor for review.
July 3:
Deputies responded to the 100 block of Ronald Drive for an
assault report. A male was arrested for assault 4th, and arson
1st, after setting the residence on fire. The scene was investigated
by the fire marshal. The male was transported to Bellingham
and booked into Whatcom County jail.
July 2:
A male and female were contacted in the 1500 block of Gulf
Road. They had felony probable cause warrants relating to drug
smuggling. The warrant was a no bail warrant. The case is ongoing
and more arrests are imminent.
July 2:
WCSO responded to the 100 block of Marine Drive for a trespass
report. An 18-year-old male was trespassed and was advised
of his warning and stated he understood.
July 1:
WCSO deputies contacted suspect via telephone and talked him
into turning himself in. Suspect fled into Canada several minutes
later for a domestic assault that had occurred in Point Roberts.
Suspect had a misdemeanor warrant out of Whatcom County district
court for assault 4th, malicious mischief 3rd, and domestic
violence. Suspect was transported via U.S. Coast Guard and
booked into Whatcom County jail.
July 1:
WCSO deputies responded to the 100 block of Gulf Road for a
report of felony harassment. Deputies interviewed the victim
and developed probable cause for suspect’s arrest. Deputies
contacted suspect at his residence and arrested
him. Suspect was transported and booked into Whatcom County
jail.
July 1:
WCSO deputies took a report of vandalism in the 1400 block
of Roosevelt Way. The reporting party advised someone had put
sand in his tractor, causing it to stall. Damage was estimated
at $1,000.
July 1:
WCSO deputies responded to the 2100 block of Culp Court to
a report of a domestic disturbance. Deputies determined no
assault had occurred and no arrest was made.
June 23:
WCSO deputies responded to the 100 block of Ontario Way for
a domestic dispute and determined no assault had occurred.
June
14: WCSO deputies responded to the 100 block of Marine Drive
for a vandalism report. A golf cart was damaged by an unknown
suspect. WCSO is following several leads.
June 12:
WCSO deputies responded to the 400 block of Tyee Drive for
an assault 4th domestic violence report. A male was taken into
custody and booked into Whatcom County jail.
