SHERIFF'S REPORT

October 23: WCSO responded to the 300 block of Marine Drive for an arson investigation. An adult male was taken into custody and booked into Whatcom County jail for arson second. The crime was investigated by the fire marshal. Estimated damage: $40,000.

October 1: WCSO deputies contacted a juvenile male riding a dirt bike on the roadway in the 1700 block of Benson Road. Deputies impounded the bike and arrested the juvenile for no I.D. The bike was released to the juvenile’s parents. The report was forwarded to the juvenile prosecutor for review.

September 29: WCSO deputies responded to the 500 block of South Beach Road for a welfare check and discovered the homeowner was deceased. Deputies determined the adult male succumbed to his illness and died. He was released to a funeral home.

September 15: WCSO deputies took a report from a male in the 100 block of Park Road, indicating he had been threatened by another adult male. The reporting party stated he did not want to pursue criminal charges, but was instructed to obtain an anti-harassment order.

September 10: WCSO deputies responded to the 300 block of Mill Road to an order violation. Deputies determined an active no contact order was on file and an adult female was later arrested for violation of same.

September 10: WCSO deputies took a report of a stolen outboard motor from the 700 block of Simundson Drive. The reporting party advised he didn’t have any possible suspect information.

September 1: WCSO deputies responded to the 1400 block of Peltier Drive for a report of an attempted suicide by overdose. Deputies contacted the adult female victim and transported her to St. Joseph Hospital and released her to medical staff.

August 27: WCSO deputies responded to the 400 block of Tyee Drive to a report of a threat. Deputies contacted an adult male victim and later located the adult male suspect. Deputies arrested the subject, who was later released to U.S. Customs because he had entered the U.S. illegally.
