Ride the
bus!
The Blaine school district will count district-transported students
for the state of Washington during the week of October 3 through
October 7.
The district’s annual transportation revenue from the state
is determined by counting regularly transported students during
the ridership week. The remainder of transportation funding is
generated through levy monies.
The school
bus drivers will count students each morning for five consecutive
days. The district points out that if a student is regularly
transported by the Blaine school district, it is very important
that he/she ride the bus to school the week of October 3 through
October 7. The number of students riding will impact the flow
of local tax dollars into local transportation to and from
school for students.
