SHERIFF'S REPORT
January
18:
Complainant in the 1400 block of Churchill
Drive reported her credit card was used over the internet to purchase
several items. The complainant discovered the charges and canceled
the card and charges. Complainant was given the FBI’s
website for reporting internet fraud. The three charges on
the card, totaling $1,904.58 were returned to the merchant.
January
14:
Deputies assisted Child Protection Services
by investigating an alleged complaint. The investigation is ongoing.
December
31:
WCSO deputies responded to the 600 block
of Paul’s
Road to investigate a death.
December
28:
WCSO deputies responded to the 2100 block
of Alder Street for a burglary report. The homeowner reported that
some time between November 17 and December 25, the residence was
entered and several items were taken. WCSO has suspect information,
but no current address for the suspects. Total amount stolen:
$271.
December
26:
WCSO responded to the 600 block of South
Beach Road for a death investigation. An elderly male had passed
away from apparent natural causes. The male was transported to
Jerns Funeral Home.
December
23:
WCSO deputies observed an abandoned vehicle
parked in the 100 block of Mill Road on the east side of the road.
The owner called and stated she would remove the vehicle as soon
as possible. Deputies tagged the vehicle as abandoned and notified
the owner to move the vehicle or it would be towed.
December
27:
WCSO deputies received a report of a burglary
in the 300 block of George Road. The reporting party advised several
items were stolen from inside his residence and shed.
December
19:
WCSO deputies contacted suspect in the
1500 block of Gulf Road and discovered he had a misdemeanor warrant
for assault 4th, $1,100 cash bail out of Bellingham municipal court.
The adult male was transported to Whatcom County Jail and booked
for the warrant.
December
18:
WCSO deputies contact an adult male in
the 1500 block of Gulf Road for a paper service. Suspect had a
misdemeanor warrant for assault 4th, domestic violence, $500 bail,
out of Whatcom County district court. Suspect signed a vehicle
impound waiver for his vehicle and was transported, via U.S. Coast
Guard, to the Whatcom County Jail and booked.
December
18:
On three separate dates, deputies contacted
suspect and served suspect with order of protection.
December
14:
WCSO deputies observed a vehicle abandoned in the roadway
at Georgia Way and Gulf Road. Deputies and dispatch attempted
to contact the registered owner, but no local telephone number
could be obtained. Deputies photographed the vehicle in the
roadway and had it towed by Roadway Towing.
