Point Roberts Girl Scouts
By

What could
be more fun than girls adventuring together in Point Roberts?
With the
fresh start of troop 1404 of the Girl Scouts we are just beginning
to find out just how fun it can be. We began during August
with leadership and all costs being funded by the Whatcom County
Girl Scouts council.
During the
summer we explored nature, hiked, cooked over fire and played
fun games together in the sunshine. Now that autumn is here,
16 girls meet every Monday at 6 p.m. We sing, run relay races,
do cool crafts and get to know each other better at every meeting.
So far this
year we have performed a musical play for our parents, watched
movies at our pajama party, toured the fire hall, learned safety
and sewing and went bowling. And hey, let’s not
forget those great holiday parties we hold! Games, food,
music and surprises for everyone.
This spring
look for us on horseback in Delta, swimming at the beach and
camping at Lighthouse Park. Girls ages five to 13 – come
join us!
