School committee meets January 12

The Point Roberts parent/community advisory meeting for the Blaine school district will be tackling the quintessential Point Roberts problem this month – transportation.

When the group meets January 12 from 6 to 7 p.m. at the primary school school superintendent Mary Lynne Derrington, school board member and bus system manager Carl Wagelie will answer questions about safety and supervision on the bus, cancelled turn-out buses, and the drug searches on the bus at the border and the arrests that come with them.
