Chris Demello has left the position of Point Roberts port director after being promoted to chief Customs and Border Protection (CBP) officer in tactical operations in Blaine. His last day in Point Roberts was May 19 and he will be replaced by Linda Robinson as acting port director until a replacement is named to the position.

CBP public affairs officer Willie Hicks said the process to select a new port director would take three to four months as it involves a national posting of the opening. “If Robinson is interested in the job this period will also allow the agency to assess her performance,” he added.
