SHERIFF'S REPORT
May 16:
A WCSO deputy contacted a subject about an open basement window
in the 1800 block of Benson Road. The reporting party’s
friend noticed the open window and told her. The reporting stated
that the window was opened sometime in 2005 by an unknown subject.
Nothing was taken and it is unknown if entry was made.
May 12:
WCSO deputies contacted the driver of a car that failed to
stop at the posted stop sign at Tyee Drive and Benson Road.
The adult female was intoxicated and was arrested for DUI.
May
7: A WCSO deputy responded to a reported attempted burglary
in the 100 block of Marine Drive. An unknown subject broke
a window out of a business, causing $100 in damages, but was
unable to make entry.
May 6: WCSO
deputies responded to the 1800 block of Anderson Street to
a reported verbal domestic dispute. An adult female and her
adult male boyfriend were in an argument. There was no claim
of an assault and no evidence to the contrary.
May 4: WCSO
deputies took a report of a verbal domestic in the 1400 block
of Gulf Road. Lack of probable cause to believe a domestic
assault had occurred. Report for information only.
May 2: A
WCSO deputy was contacted in regards to a trespass and malicious
mischief that had occurred in the 600 block of Highland Drive.
An adult male had trespassed on the victim’s property
and cut back two of his trees to their trunks, possibly
killing one tree, to improve the view from his residence.
The victim did not want to pursue criminal charges against
the man. However, the man was trespassed from the property
and was advised that if he returned to the property he could
be arrested. The suspect stated he understood that he has
been trespassed and will not do it again.
April 28:
WCSO deputies assisted U.S. Customs and Border Protection with
the arrest of an adult for fugitive warrants out of Bergen
County, NJ, for FTA theft, eluding, aggressive assault with
a weapon, aggressive assault on a police office, and resisting
arrest. CBP officers made arrangements with New Jersey courts
to extradite. Deputies transported subject to Whatcom County
Jail without incident via U.S. Coast Guard.
April 28:
WCSO deputies responded to the 1500 block of Ocean View Lane
for a reported verbal domestic dispute. An adult female called
due to an argument with her husband. The female stated no
assault or other crime occurred and there was no evidence to
show otherwise. Her husband chose to leave the residence for
the night.
