Haunted
house, costumes and boos
The Arts Foundation will host another spooky Halloween party
for children and adults, featuring a haunted house, live music
and a silent auction.
The kids’ party starts at 3 p.m. on
Saturday October 28 at the Dockside Café with Halloween
games and trips through the haunted house. ”It’s
going to be great. Really scary,” said organizer Pam Oakley.
To
raise funds for the foundation tickets will be available for
75 cents each or 20 for $10. Haunted house admission is two tickets
and games cost one ticket to try. “There are lots of great
prizes,” Oakley said.
At 7 p.m. the winner of the kids
costume contest will be announced and the games will make way
for a silent auction. ”That’s
when the adult party gets started,” Oakley said, with live
music in the pub and a costume contest to be judged at 9 p.m.
Throughout
the evening the Dockside will offer dinner and drink specials
for kids and adults.
Oakley said she will need more volunteers
to make the event a success, especially to run the kids’ games
earlier in the evening. To help, call Oakley at 945-1816. All
proceeds of the event go to support art and music education in
Point Roberts through the Arts Foundation.
