Principal’s Welcome

Welcome to the 2006-2007 School Year!

I hope that everyone had a wonderful, restful, summer vacation. We at Point Roberts Primary School are looking forward to a great year.
Our school year will start on Wednesday, August 30, with kindergarten through second grade. I know that Mrs. Worth and Mrs. Sim are also looking forward to seeing everyone and getting to know our new students this year. We feel very fortunate to have such a supportive community and invite everyone to visit and/or volunteer in the school. Whether you have children in our building or not, we would love to have your assistance.

We are committed to our continued high standard of excellence and please know that we need your assistance to achieve this goal. We will continue to concentrate on the basic skills in reading, writing, and mathematics, focusing on working towards the success of our students in achieving the goals established by the Washington State Commission on Student Learning. Our goal is to have all of our students become productive and responsible citizens achieving their highest potential. In order to achieve this goal we need to work together as a team to ensure our students the best education possible. I’m looking forward to this exciting challenge and working with all of you.

In addition to our strong core program, the following support staff will be shared with the Blaine primary school on regularly scheduled basis. Their specific schedules will be determined once the school year has started and schedules are finalized.

Those additional staff member will be: Leaf Schumann – Counselor; Kim Duff – Title 1 Reading; Katy Ackerson – Library/technology; Special Services – Shannon Mihelich and Patty Babcock

Bus Schedule

Please allow five to 10 minutes before and after the times on the schedule for buses to arrive at the stop during the first two weeks of school. Times are subject to change any time after the first day of school.
Not all stops are shown. New riders should plan to board the bus at the stop nearest their home. More bus route information may be obtained at the school transportation office by calling 332-8933.
