Ruby
White offers up some thoughts in Musings From Over The Hill
Long time resident Ruby White is offering a few of her observations
in a booklet now available for purchase.
White explained the genesis
of the book of essays, saying “I
was tired of yelling at the television as I saw reports of how
our present society is deteriorating, so I went to the computer
and created essays. These got my thoughts out of my mind and
off my chest. While my sermons are irreverent, and I had my tongue
in my cheek as I wrote some of them, the thoughts are sincere.
I would like those who read them to think about those seemingly
eccentric ideas and start some discussion about them.
“I
realize that the elderly have always expressed concern about
how the youngsters are running things, but as an old fashioned
American, who came through the Depression and WWII, I believe
we have some experiences upon which to base our observations.
The younger generations do not have that base for comparison.”
Musings
From Over The Hill sells for $6 at Blue Heron Gallery on Gulf
Road.
