Yacht club hits 25 year mark

The Point Roberts Yacht Club, which draws many of its current and past members from the communities of South Delta and Point Roberts, celebrated the beginning of its 25th anniversary year, Saturday, November 18, at the yacht club’s annual Commodore’s Ball.

The gala event held this year at the Beach Grove Golf Club in Tsawwassen was well attended, and saw current members and guests joined by past and founding members in a celebration of the yacht club’s vibrant history and traditions.

Some friendships dating back 25 years were rekindled amid photographs and memorabilia of the club’s past, over a superb dinner prepared by the golf club and followed by presentations, awards and dancing.
