SHERIFF'S REPORT

August 5: WCSO deputy responded to the 800 block of Marine Drive for a report of an assault. An individual reported that a juvenile assaulted her in the park. This incident was investigated and was referred to the juvenile prosecutor’s office for review and charges. The juvenile was released to an adult relative.

August 17: WCSO deputies responded to the 1900 block of Raleigh Drive for a reported domestic violence assault and malicious mischief. The adult female victim stated that her adult male friend had pushed her, broke some of her things and took the phones so she could not call 911.The adult male was arrested and transported to the Whatcom County Jail. He was booked in for assault 4th DV, malicious mischief 3rd DV, interfering with the reporting of domestic violence, obstructing a public servant, and resisting arrest.
