Lily Point Fundraising Walk & Tour: Saturday, April 26, 10 a.m. Meet at the Point Roberts Cemetery at the east end of A.P.A. Road. Tour the Lily Point Marine Reserve. U.S. donations to Whatcom Land Trust, Canadian donations to The Land Conservancy of B.C., Tax receipts will be issued. For more info, call Julie at 945-1998.

Point Roberts Chamber Social: Saturday, April 26, 7 p.m., at the Dockside. This year’s theme is "It's a small world." Multi-cultural entertainment, decorations & food. Dress up like your favorite nationality. Irish Dancers, German accordion and then Salsa all night! Tickets are $25 each and are available at McFrugal’s, Dylan’s, Nielson’s Building Center, Sterling Savings Bank, Triple M Realty, and the Dockside Cafe. Proceeds support Point Roberts Chamber of Commerce and beautification projects on the Point. Also, the featured artist is Penny Lesow. Whidbey Telcom Directory Cover Art Competition: The competition is open to all artists living within the Whidbey Telecom service areas that are at least 18 years of age. Entries are due by May 2, 2008, and will be reviewed by a panel of judges. Artwork must have been created after May 15, 2007 to be eligible. The winning entry receives a $500 award and publication on the 2009 directory cover with artist credit, plus promotional exposure. The winning artwork becomes the property of Whidbey Telecom. This year’s competition theme is “Colors and Flavors of Pacific Northwest Living.” Competition entry forms and specific details are available online at www.whidbey.com or by calling 360-945-1122.

Whatcom Land Trust Great Outdoors Auction: Saturday, May 3, Best Western/Lakeway Inn, 714 Lakeway, Bellingham. Proceeds to benefit Lily Point. Tickets can be purchased at the land trust office, 110 Central Ave., Bellingham or by calling 360/650-9470.

World-Famous Irish Tenor Anthony Kearns Performance: Saturday, May 3, 7:30 p.m., Blaine performing arts center. Adults $20, seniors/students $10. Priority seating $25. Tickets available at the door, Blaine Visitor Center or online at www.pacificartsassoc.org.

BOOBS Across The Border Fundraiser: Sunday, May 4, 4 – 8 p.m., Kiniski’s Reef. Silent auction, raffle, door prizes, appetizers. Music by Encore. Admission by donation. All proceeds to benefit Helena Biga.
