2002 Year In Review: Best of the Sheriff’s Reports

September 22: Sheriff responded to the report of a criminal trespass in the 200 block of James Road. Complainant said her family returned home and discovered an individual hiding in a bedroom closet. Suspect was contacted by deputies and arrested for criminal trespass 1st and returned to a parent.

June 30: WCSO responded to a report of a possible accident at A.P.A. Road and Simundson Drive. Deputies contacted an individual who said he had driven over a traffic counting hose which popped his front tire. He requested an information report be taken. The individual said he did not believe there was much damage to his tire.

June 28: WCSO responded to the report of a suspicious circumstance in the 1400 block of Gulf Road. Complainant reported someone left a threatening message on a chalkboard. There was no suspect and requested an informational report be taken.

June 8: WCSO responded to the report of theft in the 100 block of Marine Drive. Someone took a golf ball washer and garbage can unit from the above location. No suspect. Estimated loss was $300.

March 29: A resident in the 2100 block of Alder Street reported that her son’s picture had been posted on the internet with false information about him. She contacted the three female juveniles who put the picture on the internet and had it removed. Deputies contacted the three juveniles and told them their actions could be considered a crime.

February 22: An individual in the 400 block of Tyee Drive reported having problems with a customer exposing himself. The individual requested the customer be trespassed from the store. Deputies contacted the customer who agreed to stay away from the store...
