Were trying to get people to go all around the Point, said Blue Heron Gallery owner Kitty Doyle. Spend the day, shop and stay for lunch.

On Saturday, November 29, local businesses and crafters will team up to deliver a hometown Christmas tour of the Point. From Whalens Cafe & Country Store on Bayview Drive on Maple Beach to the Blue Heron Gallery at the foot of Gulf Road, visitors can follow a string of Christmas crafts, unique gifts and good food.

The participants include Whalens, County Farm Garden, Sunflowers, Blue Heron Gallery and the Liberty Wine Store. Both Brewsters Restaurant and the community center on Gulf Road will host local crafters and artists.

Shoppers can choose from a tempting array of floral arrangements, hand-made ornaments, jewelry, lavender products, antiques, baked goods, quilts and many more items.

The event runs from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Maps are available at any of the participating locations. Alternatively, participants can watch for signs to guide themselves around the Point from store to store.
