Welcome to Valerie and Ruben!

Valerie and Ruben Reed came to Point Roberts to run the Starvin’ Sam’s gas station and convenience store for a cousin. In mid-summer they decided to stay and bought the business. “It just came up and my sister and I bought it,” Ruben said.

The Reeds want their business to be known for friendly staff and a well-stocked market. “We’re trying to offer a larger variety of things – be a one-stop shop” Ruben said. They have added produce items, expanded the store’s wine selection and brought in a staggering array of tiny toys and gag gifts. “We have all sorts of trinkets,” Ruben laughed.
The store is open from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. seven days a week year-round, and the gas station will continue offering gas, diesel and propane.
