Thanks and good luck!
On December 22 members of the Point Roberts Senior Center helped Armene Belless celebrate her retirement. Belless has been the coordinator of the Point Roberts center for over five and a half years.
During Belless’ tenure, there has been a 266 percent increase in membership, establishment of an active computer room and numerous specialty classes.
After more than 25 years of Wednesday luncheons, the membership was thrilled to be able to add Friday service in June, 2004, an accomplishment that Belless was instrumental in getting instituted.
And while she may be retiring from the senior center business, that doesn’t mean she will be sitting on her laurels.Belless is particularly excited about training to be a travel escort with a Bellingham travel program. However, she first is planning a trip to visit her daughter in Arizona.
Congratulations and thank you for all that you’ve done for the community!
