Those morning backups might be a thing of the past, at least for holders of NEXUS cards. Effective Friday, July 23, the hours of operation for the Canadian NEXUS lane will be extended from its current hours to 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily, seven days a week.

These hours will be in effect from July 23 to September 17.

On September 18, the off-season NEXUS hours will go into effect, with the NEXUS lane still opening earlier at 8 a.m. and closing at 7 p.m., seven days a week.

NEXUS is currently offered at three ports of entry in the Lower Mainland. NEXUS members can also enter into Canada using the dedicated lanes, seven days a week at:

– Pacific Highway truck crossing from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

– Peace Arch crossing from 7 a.m. to midnight

Currently, approximately 27% of the travelers being processed at the Boundary Bay crossing are people who are registered in the NEXUS program.
