Point Roberts fire commissioners to hold special meeting

On the heels of ending Nick Kiniski’s tenure as Point Roberts fire chief, Point Roberts fire commissioners will hold a special meeting this Wednesday to discuss “personnel matters.”
The meeting will start at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, August 22, at the Point Roberts fire hall, 2030 Benson Road, according to a special meeting announcement issued by the board of fire commissioners. Fire commissioners Bill Meursing and Stan Riffle voted unanimously to fire Kiniski at a special meeting on August 15. David Gellatly, the third Point Roberts fire commissioner, was not present at the August 15 meeting.
