In Memorium: Samuel Albert Miller

Posted

1917-2014

We celebrate Sam’s life, not mourn his passing. The tears we shed are selfish because we’ll miss the old bastard. Sam lived a full life that spanned almost an entire century.

Born in 1917, he couldn’t have imagined all he’d experience. Television, rockets to the moon, computers – it’s hard to wrap our modern minds around what his life was like before all that. After serving in the U.S. Navy for almost 30 years living all over he world, he retired as a Master Chief.

He married his longtime sweetheart Emiko, who passed away shortly after moving to Point Roberts. Sam had many friends from all walks of life who will long miss him.

To the angels who helped care for Sam, you know who you are, and there’s a special place in heaven for you where Sam will be waiting. Goodbye, my friend.
