Kathy Iola Aydon

July 8, 1920 – August 20, 2015

Kathy Iola Aydon was born and raised in Vancouver, British Columbia.

She and her husband Ed were married on July 6, 1940 and later moved to Arcadia, California and raised a family there. Kathy was a longtime member of the Arcadia Sweet Adelines.

After their family was grown, they moved to Point Roberts, and Kathy became very active in the seniors program and helped Ed fundraise and plan for what was eventually named the Aydon Wellness Clinic.

Kathy enjoyed crafts, knitting and sewing, and earned a 1,000 hours pin as a

hospital volunteer.

She is survived by her son Phil (Betty), grandchildren T.J., John, Pam and Don; and great-grandchildren Ryan, Lindsay, Brent, Connor and Devan. She was predeceased by her husband John “Ed” Aydon, son John Aydon and daughter Kerri Aydon.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, September 26 from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Point Roberts Senior Center, 1487 Gulf Road. Donations in her memory can be made to the American Cancer Society or your favorite charity.
