Two members of the Point Roberts Community Advisory Committee (PRCAC) will hit their term limits in January 2015, leaving room for some new blood.

Point Roberts Taxpayers’ Association member Ron Clark has been chosen by the association to replace Arthur Reber, association representative and PRCAC chair.

Louise Mugar is one of two “at-large” members, and her position is open to any interested community FPmembers.

The five-member committee is made up of one representative from the Point Roberts Taxpayers’ Association, one from the Point Roberts Registered Voters’ Association, one from the chamber of commerce and two at-large members appointed by the county executive.

“The committee was created to provide advice and recommendations to the county executive and the county council regarding needs and issues specific to the Point Roberts community,” according to the county website. “The committee has also taken over the duties of the Point Roberts Character Plan Advisory Committee and will review commercial development and signs in Point Roberts for consistency with the Point Roberts Character Plan.”

Interested applicants need to complete the following form: co.whatcom.wa.us/boards/boardsappandinstructions.pdf. Applications need to be submitted by Wednesday, December 3. For more information contact the county executive’s office at 360/676-6717, or through the county toll-free line at 800/676-6757.
