Vaccinations resume this Sunday at the fire hall

Another 200 or so residents will receive their first dose of the Moderna Covid-19 vaccine this Sunday, March 21, if all goes well. The fire department received the vaccines earlier this week and plans to administer the doses on Sunday afternoon on an appointment-only basis.

Fire chief Christopher Carleton advises that those expecting to be next in line should be on the lookout from a call with a 945 prefix or 303/589-5565. The latter is the chief’s cell phone number. Recipients can then expect to receive paperwork that will need to be submitted on Sunday. To date, 280 people in Point Roberts have received one dose of the two-dose regimen.

As well, there will be Covid-19 testing at the fire hall on Sunday from 10 a.m. until noon. The results should be available for pickup at the fire hall on Monday, March 22, at 4:30 p.m. unless there are delays at the lab for some reason. Carleton advises that the department will attempt to call to confirm results and availability to pick them up.
