Tamra Hansen of Saltwater Cafe donated $2,500 raised from the BBQ at the marina over the Canada Day and Independence Day celebrations to the Point Roberts Volunteer Firefighters Charitable Society, who in turn donated it to the Point Roberts Food Bank.
