Maple Beach Sandcastle Contest

The Maple Beach Sandcastle Contest received quite the turnout on July 30.  Fourty-two entries were narrowed down to five first place winners. 

The organizer of the event was Jean Carnes and the sculptures were judged by four judges: Sharon, Kristen, Heather and Marlene.  Many other volunteers from Maple Beach were invloved. 

 First place winners in each catagory are listed here: 

Six years and under: McWilliam family for Jake’s Castle

Seven to 12 years: Gillies family for Octo-attack

Thirteen to 19 years: LeRoux and Marriott family for  Whale of a Good Time

Under six member family: Reynolds family for Mini-Gulf

Over six member family: Munro family for Links at Bayview
