The Point Roberts Chamber of Commerce welcomes two new directors, Laura Swan and Wayne Lyle. Swan is working on a membership drive as well as planning business mixers this summer. Chamber president Calder has been very busy making the case to President Biden, elected officials and media to reinstitute the part-time work visa program allowing Canadians to work in Point Roberts. Calder and Ali Hayton, owner of the Point Roberts Marketplace, have been meeting with staff from Senator Patty Murray’s office concerning the need for workers in Point Roberts.
