Presidential primary ballots due Tuesday, March 12

Posted

Whatcom County residents have until 8 p.m. Tuesday, March 12 to return their presidential primary ballots.

The Whatcom County Auditor’s Office requests that voters who haven’t received their ballots immediately call the election division at 360/778-5102. To register to vote or update voter registration, visit the auditor’s office in the Whatcom County Courthouse.

As of March 4, the auditor’s office had received about 30,343 ballots.

Ballots need to be turned into ballot drop boxes by 8 p.m. March 12. The nearest drop boxes are Blaine Public Library, the North Whatcom Fire and Rescue station in Birch Bay and Custer Elementary School. Mailed ballots must be postmarked by March 12 and the auditor’s office recommends voters check the last collection time for the mailbox.
