Vendors sought for the Christmas Art and Craft Faire

The twelfth annual Christmas Art and Craft Faire at the community center and up and down Gulf Road will bring together local and visiting crafters, artists and businesses in a festive mix of shopping and celebration.

“It’s an old fashioned Christmas,” said organizer Linda Hughes with the Point Artisan Guild, which sponsors the event.

Tables are still available for participation at the community center and applications are available at the Blue Heron Gallery.

“We’ve hit our max for jewellery,” Hughes said, in an effort to have a good mix of vendors. Other vendors will be selling textiles, foodstuffs, soaps and cosmetics, art and photography and “plenty of other gift ideas,” Hughes said.

“It needs to be handmade and we encourage local participation but we welcome Canadian artists as well and have resources to help them,” she added.

This year children are invited to participate: they can rent half a table for $5. Kids from kindergarten on up are welcome.

Attendees will receive a passport encouraging them to visit all the participating locations in addition to the main fair at the community center: Auntie Pam’s Country Store, Brewster’s Fine Foods, the Blue Heron Gallery, Pedal Pushers and Caffé Capanna. Stamps from all locations will qualify you for a prize draw.
