The first windstorm of the season that began on November 4 tore off branches, blew down trees and cut power to large swathes of Point Roberts. People coming across the border to buy gas and tickets to the billion-dollar Powerball lottery were disappointed to find that power was out at the Marketplace, the only lottery outlet on the Point.
